About Emmett McMenamy
I’m Emmett McMenamy, a senior at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa — but my allegiance is to St. Louis, Missouri, where I grew up. While at Drake, I’m preparing for a future career in journalism or strategic communications. My majors are Multimedia Journalism and Public Relations, and my minor is English. I care deeply about my work because I believe good journalism is a public service. I’m meticulous and intentional in any story I report, holding truth and compassion as my greatest values. As a reporter, I love listening to others’ stories. And I’m honored when I get to share them in writing.
